About
The Studios Brookhaven offers classes and programs in music, theatre, dance, and athletics, including activities such as Broadway Kids, Broadway Juniors, Triple Threat, Acting for Kids, Screen/TV Acting, and Spring Musicals like Mean Girls JR. and Frozen KIDS. Students can take Group Piano, Group Guitar, and Private Music Lessons in piano, guitar, ukulele, and voice, as well as participate in dance styles such as Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Bollywood, and Aerial Silks, plus Cheer, Tumbling, Ninja, Acro, Jiu Jitsu, and programs like Hip Hop to K-Pop, Speak Up!, Novel Ideas, Heat Up With The Hawks, and Heat Up With The Hawks with an opportunity to dance at a Hawks pre-game show for ages 5–13. The Studios Brookhaven also offers birthdays with artistic activities and camps that combine fun and educational experiences for young artists.

The Studios Brookhaven serves more than 500 weekly students in under four years. Its mission statement describes a focus on enrichment through arts and athletics programs, with an emphasis on confidence, creativity, connection, and long-term relationships with families. The leadership team includes Founder and Executive Director Don Jones; Director of Education and Principal Teaching Artist Jenny Rizzo; Director of Operations Raven Montenegro; Facilities & Floor Manager and Associate Teaching Artist Joseph Sherer; Curriculum Development lead Jake Goldwasser; Accompanist Grant Jones; and Principal Teaching Artists Christie Chapman and Cece Campbell, along with instructors such as Preschool Tumbling Instructor Maggie Carpenter, Adult Musical Theatre Dance Instructor Ricardo Aponte, Ninja & Tumbling Instructor Sasha Green, Aerial Silks Instructor Asia Bryant, Piano Instructor Amanda DeJiacomo, and Guitar & Voice Instructor Abbey Danna.
Private, one-on-one music lessons are taught by experienced musicians in piano, guitar, ukulele, and voice for children over five. Don Jones holds a Bachelor of Science in Music (Piano Performance), cum laude, from Long Island University (2003) and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University (2015), has worked as a professional Broadway and studio musician, and has led over 120 musical productions. Sasha Green is an APK-certified Parkour instructor and experienced gymnastics coach. Ricardo Aponte has directed over 15 musicals, choreographed over 30 musicals, operas, and industrial shows nationwide, is originally from Venezuela, resides in Atlanta, GA, and has been recognized with 3 Suzi Awards and ten nominations.
The Studios Brookhaven is connected to community and nonprofit work through Theatre Platform Project, an educational nonprofit founded and artistically directed by instructor Ricardo Aponte that provides performing arts programs to diverse communities in Atlanta. Don Jones is also the Founder and Co-Director of the Atlanta Institute for Musical Theatre (AIMT), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that offers professional-level musical theatre training for middle school and high school students as well as adults. Don Jones’s venture YourLessonAtHome.com, a division of The Studios Brookhaven, offers in-home music lessons throughout Georgia.
