Calhoun First Baptist Preschool

Calhoun First Baptist Preschool offers focused learning opportunities in half-day sessions that include teaching socialization and early reading concepts. The program also includes Music for Preschool Children and Missions for Preschool & Children as part of its weekly activities.

Calhoun First Baptist Preschool uses the Abeka curriculum and states that its program is academically equal to any local preschool program, public or private. The program complements many homeschool programs and accepts children ages two to four. Calhoun First Baptist Preschool has been serving Gordon County families for decades. The preschool’s mission statement says that it is in the business of giving Gordon County’s preschool-aged children a nurturing educational start in a faith-based environment. Registration for the 2026–2027 school year will open Wednesday, February 12. Church office hours are Monday–Thursday 9:00am–12:00pm and 1:00–4:00pm, and Friday 9:00am–12:00pm and 1:00–2:00pm. Weekly events connected to the program’s setting include Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and Morning Worship Service at 11:00 a.m. on Sundays, and on Wednesdays a Fellowship Supper/Youth Meal at 5:15 p.m., Music for Preschool Children and Youth at 6:00 p.m., and Missions for Preschool & Children at 6:45 p.m.
