Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley was organized in 1937 in the neighborhoods of Jordan City by R. Curtis Jordan, Sr., and has been in service for more than 85 years. The organization reports serving over 2,500 children annually, with 2,500 annual club members at 7 locations and an average daily attendance of more than 475. It notes having over 150 volunteers and more than 80 staff members, and it is supported by the United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley. Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley is a charter member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and operates as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as responsible, caring, productive citizens. Leadership roles include area and unit directors at several clubs and a director at the John F. Flournoy College & Career Center.
