About

GenerateTech is a STEAM education nonprofit organization where students work on hands-on, problem-based experiences and experimentation that connect science, technology, engineering, arts, and math with real-world phenomena. Students collaborate on real-world problems, build prototypes, conduct experiments, and use technology to design solutions, with instructors and mentors acting as guides and facilitators. Every project, experiment, or activity is hands-on, and the program follows a “zero spectators” approach in which every student participates.

• Ages: 5–18 years old

GenerateTech describes itself as a self-engaging, all-inclusive, student-centered gateway to educational and social empowerment, with a team-building culture that encourages collaboration, cross-talking, creative problem-solving, and respectful challenge. Instructor-led programs are staffed by instructors who are deeply engaged and committed to helping all students of all learning needs. The organization leverages the expertise of IT professionals, experienced educators, accomplished business leaders, and dedicated senior volunteers to provide STEAM education and training services to students, adults, and businesses. GenerateTech seeks to deliver high-quality, industry-aligned instruction at low or no cost and is committed to advancing educational equity by providing innovative, real-world technology and workforce training to underserved and minority communities.

GenerateTech is led by Mark A. Fraser, President of GenerateTech, Inc., who is a former high school teacher, advertising and human resources manager, and chief administrative officer of a private tertiary educational institution. Mr. Fraser holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management, has a broad range of certifications from CompTIA and Microsoft, and is a certified executive career coach. He is in the dissertation phase of his Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree at American College of Education, with a specialization in STEM education.

Parents and students have shared comments such as, “Words cannot describe this place. You have to experience it for yourself” (Frankie B.), “This is the only place my daughter wants to be at after school” (Jesse N.), and “My son loves the way Mr. Fraser teaches. He says that he is always inspired” (Jamie L.).
