About
Discovery Point Hamilton Mill offers programs that use a proprietary Discovery Point Connections® Curriculum with a focus on early language development and literacy. Lessons use books, music, and words to open the doors to math, science, and problem solving, and each child-centered lesson is flexible enough to be adapted for each individual learner and is built on developmental learning standards for infancy through preschool.
• Ages: 0–12 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–6:30 PM
Programs range from 6 weeks of age to 12 years and include summer and spring break camps, as well as before and after school programs. The center uses specialized classrooms, playgrounds, and materials designed specifically to help nurture young minds, and follows strict health and safety guidelines and procedures. Early childhood teachers implement research-based curriculum and a child-centered instructional approach for every age and stage of development, with low child-to-teacher ratios. Discovery Point offers state funded PreK and center-specific options for private and state funded programs, and describes its curriculum as having the heart of story time and the mind of research-based standards, with an emphasis on early learning as a connection between what is new and what is familiar.
The mission at Discovery Point is to be at the forefront of child care, with a goal to redefine daycare for families and the children in their care, and to foster a thirst for knowledge and an appreciation for play through dynamic and engaging child care programs. Discovery Point is a registered trademark of Discovery Point, and the center notes “Giving Back” as a community involvement focus.
Jenae is the owner of Discovery Point Hamilton Mill. She is a graduate of Georgia State University with a major in Actuarial Science and, since 2014, has owned and managed two e-commerce businesses as well as one in restaurant/family entertainment. This is her first time working in childcare, and she and her family live in Buford, Georgia.
