Summer Arts Camp is offered by the Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/Douglas County. The organization presents programs such as monthly exhibits, arts education in schools, hands-on workshops and classes for children and adults, gallery talks, the Taste of Douglasville Festival, Douglas County’s Annual Chili Cook-Off, commissioned public art projects, and the spring family event called the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. The CAC’s ARTSventures program has brought traditional Chinese dance to South Douglas Elementary School.
Since 1986, the Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/Douglas County has offered cultural events and arts activities in the community and is celebrating over 35 years of service. With the help of community members and arts patrons from across the country, the organization is working on an arts and culture campus in downtown Douglasville that is planned as the first multipurpose campus in the county dedicated to the arts and the area’s diverse culture.
