Summer Arts Camp

Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/Douglas County Arts Programs offers monthly exhibits, arts education in schools, hands-on workshops and classes for children and adults, and gallery talks. The program also includes special events such as the Taste of Douglasville Festival, Douglas County’s Annual Chili Cook-Off, the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, the Summer Pop Up Arts Party, and a Pop Up Arts Shop featuring local artists. Commissioned Public Art Projects and a Quarterly Volunteer Luncheon are also part of the program’s activities.

Since 1986, the Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/Douglas County has offered cultural events and arts activities in the community and will be celebrating its 40th year of service in 2026. With the help of community members and arts patrons from across the country, the organization is working on an arts and culture campus in downtown Douglasville, envisioned as the first multipurpose campus in the county dedicated to the arts and Douglas County’s uniquely diverse culture. The CAC celebrates 40 years and receives state recognition at its annual meeting.
