Spectrum Summer Day Camp is a Summer Day Camp that is part of a larger set of programs that also include Overnight Camps, Social Skills Groups, Respite Programs, Family Camp, school year mini school break camps, social skills programs, a Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt, Family Bingo Night, Animation Club, Summer Transition Academy, Autistic Adults Monthly Social Outings, Teen Saturday Social Club, Saturday Social Club for Adults on the spectrum, programs for homeschoolers, Table Talk Jr. for Teens Ages 12-17, a Table Talk event for Adults Ages 18 and up, Mocha Matters Virtual Support Group, Women on the Spectrum ArtReach, Neurodiverse Partners Virtual Support Group, Special Needs Screenings at Studio Movie Grill, Saturday Day Camp, NLEP Enrichment Day, and support group meetings. Every day at Spectrum Day Camp is focused on positively influencing others, and the summer camp experience is anchored by a core social skills curriculum. Groups are based on ability and age with about 8–10 campers and 2–3 staffers, and everything at Spectrum Day Camp is intentional and guided by a core philosophy and mission.

• Schedule: Day Camp runs Monday–Friday from 9:30 am to 3 pm in six one-week sessions between June 1 and July 10, 2026.
• Price: $460 per week; Active.com charges a $5.75 non-refundable registration fee for each session.

There will be six sessions of Day Camp in summer 2026: Weeks 1–2 are June 1–5 and June 8–12, Weeks 3–4 are June 15–19 and June 22–26, Week 5 is June 29–July 3, and Week 6 is July 6–10. Camp hours for staff are 9:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday–Friday. Support group meetings are scheduled on February 12 from 6:30–8 pm, March 5 from 6:30–8 pm, and March 12 from 6:30–8 pm.

Staff members are educational and medical professionals who understand and have been trained in the characteristics of and research based strategies used for persons affected by Autism/Asperger’s. Staffers are independent contractors with pay ranging from $350–$600 per week. Camp staff is skilled in creating a structured and supportive environment that fosters positive social and life skills, and Spectrum Camp and Clubs provide a real-world, real-life experiential program that promotes the development of social and life skills. It is the goal of Social Skills Today to provide social skills training, behavioral accommodations, and language-building activities in a safe and enriching environment for individuals functioning at all developmental levels ages four and above.

Spectrum Autism Support Group was established in 1998, incorporated in 2000, and received non-profit status in 2002. The mission is to provide support, education and resources for individuals and families impacted by autism. Spectrum currently serves over 2000 families in Gwinnett County and the surrounding Metro Atlanta area, and it was established for families, friends and teachers of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders within Gwinnett County, Georgia and the surrounding areas. Spectrum maintains a website with links to the group’s activities and other resources within the metropolitan area, and Spectrum’s Facebook page has over 20,000 followers.

Spectrum Summer Day Camp is part of Spectrum Autism Support Group, led by Executive Director Claire Dees. The 2026 Board Members are Kathy Brust, April Coleman, Claire Dees, Maneika Corneille, Gereen Francis, Detrice Gilbert, Cherry Donald, Colleen McNeese, Steven Julian, Craig Pett, Lemetra Dismuke, Ariana Nelson, Christine Kramlich, Sandy Weaver, and Brittaney Johnson.
