Flat Creek Baptist Church VBS

Flat Creek Baptist Church Youth & Children’s Ministries includes Sunday Morning Worship, Sunday School, and Wednesday Evening Groups. The program offers age-appropriate teaching, music, and fun activities designed to introduce children to a life-changing journey to follow Jesus Christ. It also includes discipleship and biblical counseling as part of its regular ministry activities.

Flat Creek Baptist Church Youth & Children’s Ministries is part of Flat Creek Baptist Church, which celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2026. The church states that it exists to demonstrate Christ’s love by making a positive difference in the lives of people and holds to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as its Statement of Faith. Flat Creek is a Southern Baptist Church that believes in dynamic, practical, Biblical preaching and exciting worship, and it offers multi-generational worship services utilizing a variety of songs and styles. The program uses check-ins and state-of-the-art security for children and includes a Children’s Building attached to the campus for child check-in.

The leadership team connected to these ministries includes Senior Pastor Dr. Josh Saefkow, who has an earned Doctorate from Gateway Seminary of Los Angeles, California, and Minister of Students Ryan Appling. The team also includes Children’s Director Mary Nama, Preschool Director Hannah Lentz, and Education, Outreach, and Childrens Ministry Assistant Mary Stavenger, along with additional staff such as Minister of Music John Conrad and Business Administrator James Stewart, who is a proud graduate of Mercer University and attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Flat Creek states that it believes in providing powerful ministry to the community by enabling members to operate in their spiritual gifts based on Romans 12:4-8.
