Wayne County 4-H Youth Development (UGA Extension Wayne County) offers educational programs in horticulture and agriculture, as well as leadership and citizenship opportunities for youth. The program also provides free online learning at any time of day. Families can access tips to live a more active lifestyle, shop smarter, make healthier food choices, cook meals on a budget, and receive free kitchen and fitness items. The program is based at the Wayne County UGA Extension Office.

Extension Agents with UGA Extension have been working to assist Georgia residents since 1914 in Agriculture and Natural Resources, 4-H, and Family & Consumer Sciences. The mission of UGA Extension is to extend lifelong learning to Georgia citizens through unbiased, research-based education in agriculture, the environment, communities, youth, and families. UGA Extension Wayne County provides resources in Agriculture and Natural Resources, 4-H Youth Development, and Family & Consumer Sciences, supported by updated unbiased research information from specialists and a network of resources. UGA Extension operates through a partnership with Wayne County, the University of Georgia, the State of Georgia, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and is an Equal Opportunity Institution.
