Goldfish Swim School – Johns Creek states that swim lessons save lives and that their process is all about progress, with a focus on safety and meaningful milestones, and they use The Science of SwimPlay® philosophy, which is described as a combination of guided play and a safe environment to help children build cognitive growth, overcome fears, learn to swim, and have fun. The school is described as an indoor children’s swim school with a warm, 90-degree pool, year-round lessons, small class sizes, a 4:1 maximum student-to-instructor ratio, and highly-trained lifeguards on deck whenever the pool is actively in use. Families are offered up to 12 free make-up lessons per membership year, flexible class times, free trial lessons, air-conditioned viewing galleries equipped with free Wi-Fi, and convenient access to snacks and swim gear, and the space is described as tropical themed and emotionally and intellectually stimulating, with awards for achievements and milestones and a focus on safety skills, socialization, and fun.
All lifeguards receive training in the International Lifeguard Training Program™ and ongoing training from a certified lifeguard instructor, and instructors undergo an extensive hiring process and comprehensive training period and are described as certified. The leadership team includes General Manager Ashley B., Assistant General Managers Julie P. and Delia, and Deck Supervisors Ryleigh E., Bri E., Jacob A., and Bria F., and Goldfish Swim School lists Co-Founders Jenny McCuiston and Chris McCuiston. Goldfish Swim School opened its first location in 2006 and is described as awarded best swim school 10 years running and as one of the fastest-growing private companies in America, according to Inc. Swimmers from Alpharetta, Suwanee, and surrounding areas are welcome at Goldfish Swim School – Johns Creek.
Parents are asked to send each student with a swimsuit, swim cap if needed, and a towel, and reusable swim diapers are required for children who are not yet potty-trained. One parent, Spencer N., describes it as a great facility with super friendly staff who made a daughter feel extremely welcomed and comfortable, and another parent, Diana W., shares that two children really enjoyed swimming in the pool, with the older child wanting to do more things like jumping into the water. Additional comments from families mention positive experiences with instructors such as Melanie, appreciation for an instructor-in-training named Layla, and a description from Erica H. of a wonderful experience at a Goldfish Swim School location in Stamford.
