Goldfish Swim School – Johns Creek is an indoor children’s swim school with state-of-the-art aquatic swimming facilities dedicated to indoor children’s swim lessons. The program uses a warm, 90-degree pool described as shiver-free and maintains air-conditioned viewing galleries equipped with free Wi-Fi, along with convenient access to snacks and swim gear in a tropical themed space. The curriculum follows The Science of SwimPlay® and uses structured, child-focused instruction with a confidence-building curriculum, a fun curriculum full of games, and awards for achievements and milestones. Classes have a maximum student-to-instructor ratio of 4:1, with small class sizes, flexible scheduling options and class times, year-round lessons, free make-up lessons, and a complimentary free trial, and the facilities are described as indoor and nationally trusted with locations across the United States.

Attentive, certified, fun-loving instructors lead the lessons, and certified lifeguards are on deck whenever the pool is actively in use. All lifeguards receive training in the International Lifeguard Training Program™ developed by Jeff Ellis and Associates and receive regular, ongoing training from a certified lifeguard instructor. The leadership team at this location includes General Manager Ashley B., Assistant General Managers Julie P. and Delia, and Deck Supervisors Ryleigh E., Bri E., Jacob A., and Bria F., and the broader organization was co-founded by Jenny McCuiston and Chris McCuiston. Goldfish Swim School opened its first location in 2006, has been awarded best swim school 10 years running, and is listed as one of the fastest-growing private companies in America according to Inc.

The stated mission includes “Swim Lessons Save Lives. Enroll today for a safer tomorrow,” “Our process is all about progress,” and a focus on combining guided play with a safe, supportive environment to help children learn essential water safety skills while building confidence in the water. The program also states that it has created an inviting and safe environment where kids can overcome their fears, learn to swim, and have fun. Families from Alpharetta, Suwanee, and surrounding areas are welcome, and the school is located near Medlock Bridge Elementary and Montessori schools off Route 141 in Johns Creek.

Parent and child feedback includes comments that the environment is clean, colorful, and welcoming for kids, that the water is very warm and everything feels clean, and that the school is “fantastic in all areas.” One parent notes that their seven-year-old describes Goldfish Swim School as a very good place, and another shares that their family has been attending since the kids were babies and that the children now compete in swim meets. For each lesson, students are expected to bring a swimsuit, swim cap if needed, and a towel, and reusable swim diapers are required for children who are not yet potty-trained.
