• Price: Y Day Camp offers affordable pricing well below many competitors; a non-refundable deposit is required at registration; campers registered after 12 a.m. on the Friday before the next week of camp incur a $15 late registration fee; a 3% processing fee applies to all credit card transactions
Since 1858, the YMCA of Metro Atlanta has been serving the ever-changing needs of the community. Reflecting its Judeo-Christian heritage, the YMCA of Metro Atlanta is an association of volunteers, members, and staff, open to and serving all, with programs and services which build spirit, mind, and body. Financial assistance is available based on need, and the YMCA actively seeks to identify and involve those in need. The YMCA of Metro Atlanta offers community outreach programs such as hunger relief, safety around water classes, and chronic disease support, and relies on partnerships with corporate, government, and community organizations to make a greater collective impact. Financial assistance is always available for Y programs, and the YMCA accepts third party payment from organizations such as DFCS (CAPS) at many locations. Y Day Camp is offered at 18 metro Atlanta locations, and preschool camps are available at some YMCAs for children younger than 5. Day Camp registration for 2026 is open. Age-appropriate activities are designed to promote independence and develop four core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility, and the program emphasizes open communication among campers, parents, and Y staff. Most Y camps require campers to bring a lunch, preferably in an insulated lunchbox, along with a refillable water bottle, two snacks without nuts, spray sunscreen, and bug spray, and campers are asked not to bring cell phones, laptops, or any type of electronics. Before camp, all campers must provide a Medical Waiver, an Authorized Camper Pickup Form, and a copy of the child's shot records on the school health form (3231), and forms cannot be transferred from other Y programs.
