Since 1858, the YMCA of Metro Atlanta has been serving the ever-changing needs of the community and is the oldest non-profit in Atlanta. Reflecting its Judeo-Christian heritage, the YMCA of Metro Atlanta is an association of volunteers, members, and staff, open to and serving all, with programs and services which build spirit, mind, and body. The YMCA actively seeks to identify and involve those in need. The YMCA of Metro Atlanta champions communities where everyone belongs and provides opportunities so that everyone—especially children—can reach their full potential. The YMCA of Metro Atlanta offers community outreach programs like hunger relief, safety around water classes, and chronic disease support, and relies on partnerships with corporate, government, and community organizations. Each year, YMCA programs create more than 2.5 million experiences, serve 147,049 facility and program members, and reach 25,611 youth in early learning, afterschool, youth sports, and camps.
