The Sunshine House of Lilburn offers childcare, preschool, and after-school programs that use a nationally-recognized curriculum. Transportation is available from Brookwood Elementary, Gwin Oaks Elementary, and R.D. Head Elementary. For 50 years, The Sunshine House of Lilburn has been helping children build a solid educational and social foundation. The Sunshine House was founded 50 years ago in Greenwood, SC, as a family-driven mission by two public school teachers, and since 1975 it has been a trusted partner for families. Today, it has grown to over 100 schools, all built on the same mission of high-quality care and education for every child and family every day.
Center Director Jaci Chabut has more than 27 years of experience in early childhood education and earned a Montessori Certificate in 2000 from North American Montessori. The Sunshine House of Lilburn is a GA Quality Rated school, and each Sunshine House is state-licensed and regularly inspected to ensure compliance with state standards, with most schools holding additional state quality ratings and accreditations. The organization is deeply rooted in the communities it serves and partners with other organizations to help create a better world.
Parents describe the teachers and staff as attentive, sincere, caring, and amazing, and several say the school feels like home and part of their extended family. Families report that their children are excited to attend, have shown academic growth within a few months, and come home singing new songs and using sign language.
