• Ages: 10–18 years old
• Schedule: 5-day camp from June 7–11, 2026, with campers checking in on the first day between 12pm–1:30pm and a closing ceremony on the last day at 11:30am
• Price: 5-day camp $899
The camp is led by Matthew Richter, Head Men's Basketball Coach and Head Coach of Nike Boys Basketball Camp at Berry College. Richter was hired as the Head Men's Basketball Coach in April 2024 and has served as the assistant men's basketball coach for Berry since June 2022 after rejoining the staff following his stint at Wabash College, where the Little Giants reached the NCAA Division III Final Four. He is a Butler University undergraduate and Berry College MBA graduate and has been part of teams that finished 13-1 and were ranked 11th in the D3hoops poll, with an SAA regular season and tournament championship while he was a graduate assistant. Since his return in 2022, the Vikings have had an overall record of 44-13 with two regular season conference championships, an SAA runner-up title, an SAA Champion title, and an NCAA appearance, and he has coached CSC Academic All-District players, two NABC All-District players, a D3hoops All-Region player, a two-time SAA Defensive Player of the Year, and two SAA Players of the Year along with many All-SAA selections. The camp uses a 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio, and campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience at the Director's discretion, with basketballs provided for instruction during camp.
Campers reside in Morgan Hall Dormitory on campus, staying two per room, assigned by age or request, with shared bathrooms and air-conditioning. Linens are not provided, there is no room key deposit unless a key is lost, and the suggested spending money is $40. Drugs, alcohol, and tobacco are strictly prohibited and, along with general misconduct, are grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund. Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury, and there is a pool available with optional swimming time.
Parent and camper feedback includes comments that this was the best camp compared to others attended and that some campers liked the camp even better in a second year. Parents report that campers came home with academic, character, and basketball skill goals and that some campers practiced daily after camp. Testimonials describe counselors and coaches as motivating, energetic, friendly, and welcoming, and note that the camp atmosphere was fun and friendly, with opportunities to learn, make friends, and enjoy the food. Campers mention learning new skills such as jump stops, pass fakes, and pump fakes, enjoying 5v5 drills, and remembering shooting drills they still use, and several families state that they plan to sign up again or look forward to returning.
