Newnan/Coweta Boys & Girls Club

Newnan/Coweta Boys & Girls Club offers a wide range of activities, including the Bob and Millie Coggin Oratorical Program, Drama Matters (Theatre), Art Club, Book Club, Creative Writing Program, Imagemakers Photography Program, Cosmetology, and Music Production. The program also includes Triple Play/Healthy Habits, Gardening Club, Tutoring/Homework Help, and intramural leagues for basketball, flag football, and soccer. Members can also participate in leadership programs such as Keystone Leadership Club for ages 14–18 and Torch Leadership Club for ages 11–13, as well as CareerBound.

• Schedule: General hours 2:00 pm–8:00 pm, with holiday and summer hours from May 28th to July 18th, 7:30 am–6:00 pm

The Newnan/Coweta Boys & Girls Club is part of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, which states that it works to save and change the lives of children and teens, especially those who need it most, by providing a safe, positive and engaging environment and programs that prepare and inspire them to achieve Great Futures. The organization notes that there are two dynamic Clubs serving one community in Newnan and that the Newnan/Coweta Boys & Girls Club works with hundreds of kids and teens each year. Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta states that it provides an environment where all youth feel safe and secure to dream, discover, and develop, and that its programs focus on helping kids succeed in school, live healthy, and become leaders.

The Executive Director, Khing Banks, has served in youth development for over 10 years in many different sectors. Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta is described as an equal opportunity provider and a 501(c)(3) charity, accredited by Charity Navigator and GuideStar. Both Clubs in Newnan are described as staples in the community, participating in community service initiatives and partnering with other businesses and organizations to help uplift the lives within the community.
