Chatham County Parks & Recreation Youth Sports Leagues and Programs offers organized youth sports in baseball, basketball, football, golf, hockey, kickball, soccer, softball, and tennis. The program takes place at facilities that include Memorial Stadium, Ambucs Park, and the Jennifer Ross Sports Complex. The parks and recreation system is built to serve residents of all ages and interests through these sports leagues and programs.
The department’s mission is providing safe, useful, and attractive recreational facilities for citizens of all ages. New and upgraded facilities include Memorial Stadium, Ambucs Park, and the Jennifer Ross Sports Complex, along with sports complexes, swimming pools, a weightlifting center, and a golf course that support community health and fitness. Several community centers in the system host year-round programs, events, and activities for families, seniors, and youth. The leadership team includes Margaret Sotillo Escala, Stiven Spilver Darw, and Emma Toledo Cascada.
