Oatland Island Wildlife Center Youth Programs and Camps include activities such as the Fairy and Gnome Festival, Toddler Tuesday, Military Appreciation Days, and Summer Camp. During the Fairy and Gnome Festival, children can join a fashion show, mine for gems, frolic in the enchanted forest, and help construct a fairy village. Guests of all ages can take part in educational programs and events that focus on the center’s history and the natural world.

• Schedule: Open daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, with the Fairy and Gnome Festival 2026 scheduled for May 9, 2026 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and Toddler Tuesday sessions listed on April 28, May 5, and May 12 with events from 10:00 am to 10:30 am and 11:00 am to 11:30 am
• Price: The Fairy and Gnome Festival is normal admission with some fee activities

Oatland Island Wildlife Center was founded in 1974 and is home to around 100 animals representing 40 different species. The mission of the Oatland Island Wildlife Center of Savannah is to provide guests with memorable experiences to help them make stronger connections to the natural world. Summer Camp 2026 registration is open to the public, and payment is made using the Clover online store, with a waitlist option available if a camp is full and a child may be contacted if a spot becomes available. Military Appreciation Days are held at Oatland Island. The leadership team includes S. Denise Watts, Ed.D.
