About
The Kids’ Advocacy Coalition (KAC) After School Program offers hands-on activities, tutoring, and a mix of academic, social, and recreational activities. Children in the program have access to sports facilities and receive daily snacks. The program also includes intergenerational interaction as part of its regular activities.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Price: KAC charges by the day — $10 a day for students who are picked up by 4:45 and $12 a day for students who remain after 4:45. KAC offers a discount for each additional child in the same family. A $40 registration fee per child is required. Please contact the KAC office for reduced-rate applications through possible grant funds.
KAC in Tifton is a non-profit agency that offers safe, affordable, high-quality care for children of parents who are working or are in school or job training. KAC serves between 300–350 children per school year and partners with Annie Belle Clarke Primary, Charles Spencer Elementary, G.O. Bailey Primary, J.T. Reddick Elementary, Len Lastinger Primary, Matt Wilson Elementary, Northside Primary, Omega Elementary, Eighth Street Middle, and Northeast Middle, with children bused to Annie Belle Clark. The mission of KAC is to maximize resources to assure that all families have access to high-quality, affordable, inclusive after-school child care to meet the goal of all children continuing to succeed throughout their school years. All children are welcome regardless of their race, color, national origin, and gender. Volunteers can serve as mentors or tutors, and KAC is always looking for caring, committed individuals who can help provide guidance and support to children in their care.
