The Kids’ Advocacy Coalition (KAC) After School Program offers recreational, social, and academic activities, along with hands-on projects and tutoring. The program includes daily snacks, intergenerational interaction, and access to sports facilities.
• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Price: KAC charges $50 a week. A $50 registration fee per child is required.
Kids’ Advocacy Coalition (KAC) is a non-profit agency that offers safe, affordable, high-quality care for children of parents who are working or are in school or job training. KAC serves between 300–350 children per school year. All children are welcome regardless of their race, color, national origin, and gender. KAC’s school partners are Annie Belle Clarke Primary; Charles Spencer Elementary (children are bused to Matt Wilson); G.O. Bailey Primary; J.T. Reddick Elementary (children are bused to Matt Wilson); Len Lastinger Primary; Matt Wilson Elementary; Northside Primary; Omega Elementary; Eighth Street Middle; and Northeast Middle (children are bused to Annie Belle Clark). The mission of KAC is to maximize resources to assure that all families have access to high-quality, affordable, inclusive after-school child care to meet the goal of all children continuing to succeed throughout their school years.
