About
I Beat A.L.L. Inc. offers youth recreational sports programs, recreational activities, and a birthday basketball tournament, along with education, enrichment programs, and mentoring. The program also includes mentorship opportunities connected to its focus on sports, arts, and success.
I Beat A.L.L. Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth through education, recreation, and mentoring, with a focus on overall physical, mental, and spiritual health. The organization offers youth in the community a positive outlet to explore through positive mentoring, education, enrichment programs, and recreational sports programs. It was formed by what is described as an “unbeatable husband and wife team,” Coach Dwynell Mitchell and his wife, Ketrina, and is described as “A Home for Sports, Arts, and Success.”
Coach Dwynell Mitchell earned his degree from Valdosta State University. He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (A.L.L.) in August 2008, the non-profit organization was started in 2009, and it became a 501(c)(3) in 2010. Coach Mitchell suffered a relapse in July 2016, and his legacy continues after his passing in 2018. The leadership team includes Coach Dwynell Mitchell as the visionary of I Beat A.L.L. Inc., his wife Ketrina, and Board Members Sharonda Christopher, Janice Jones, Attorney Maya Cleveland, William Young, and Katrice Clopton.
One parent shared that Ketrina and her IBALL staff were “amazing” and “very accommodating” for a last-minute venue change for a son’s surprise 10th birthday party, and that there was more than enough space for a birthday basketball tournament, a room to serve food and cake, and space for the boys to run and play. In this testimonial, the parent reported that the boys had a wonderful time and that her son said, “This is the best birthday party ever!”
