Cherokee Outdoor YMCA Youth Programs

Cherokee Outdoor YMCA Youth Programs take place at a 200-acre forested day camp facility and retreat center that includes a waterfront, hiking trails, and an amphitheater. The programs offered include Summer Day Camp, School Break Camp, Youth Sports, Outdoor Adventure Program, Rentals and Retreats, and Outdoor Adventure Classes. The programs focus on teaching the character values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, and provide youth and teens with tools that allow them to be productive leaders within the community.

• Schedule: Branch hours Monday–Friday 5:00am–8:00pm; Saturday 7:00am–3:00pm; Sunday 10:00am–3:00pm

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta states that it is an association of volunteers, members, and staff, open to and serving all, with programs and services which build spirit, mind, and body, and that financial assistance is available based on need. The organization notes that it actively seeks to identify and involve those in need and relies on partnerships with corporate, government, and community organizations to make a greater collective impact.
