Since 1858, the YMCA of Metro Atlanta has been serving the ever-changing needs of the community. The YMCA of Metro Atlanta states that it is an association of volunteers, members, and staff, open to and serving all, with programs and services which build spirit, mind, and body, and that financial assistance is available based on need, with an active effort to identify and involve those in need. The YMCA offers community outreach programs such as hunger relief, safety around water classes, and chronic disease support, and it relies on partnerships with corporate, government, and community organizations to increase its impact.
