Straight Blast Gym Idaho Martial Arts Programs offers training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai, Judo, Wrestling, MMA, and Kids Martial Arts. The program also includes fitness, self-defense, and other combat athletics activities.

Straight Blast Gym Idaho Martial Arts Programs is part of Straight Blast Gym, which offers training in self-defense, combat athletics, and fitness for men, women, and children. The programs are described as meeting the needs of people of all ages and ability levels and place emphasis on creating real, authentic friendships within the SBG Tribe. The gym has 8 martial arts programs, more than 650 active members, and is part of a larger organization with over 50 locations around the world on every continent except Antarctica. SBG Idaho offers tours and free private sessions, including an option to schedule a free private lesson.
The leadership team includes SBG President Matt Thornton and Paul Schreiner, a 4th degree Claudio Franca Black Belt and current Marcelo Garcia Academy Coach. Paul Schreiner began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 1997, earned his black belt in 2007, and has competitive highlights that include multiple US Open titles, 3rd place at the 2006 Mundial, 2nd place at the 2012 Masters World Championship, ADCC trials finalist, New York Open champion, and multiple regional tournament wins. His teaching experience includes coaching professional jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts athletes, teaching hobbyists and kids, teaching in corporate settings, starting a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program at Apple headquarters, coaching alongside Dave Camarillo at American Kickboxing Academy, co-founding Kaijin MMA in Santa Cruz, and teaching daily alongside Marcelo Garcia in New York.
Straight Blast Gym has been voted Best Martial Arts Studio in Boise four years in a row and is a winner of the “Best of Boise 2022” and “Best Gym & Best Martial Arts Studio” awards. SBG Idaho welcomes students from all gyms and affiliations to attend the Paul Schreiner seminar, which is scheduled to run from 10:00am until noon.
