HSBCAMPS staff is comprised of current and former NBA, G-League, CBA, International, and NCAA players and coaches, with a leadership team that includes Founder/Director Carson Sofro, Pro Veteran Tyray Petty, and College Veterans AJ Sedillo and Isaiah Fisher. The program is backed by a “Quality over Quantity” approach, limiting the number of players to about 10–12 per basket and providing one coach for every eight to ten players. HSBCAMPS offers several formats, including HSB Skillz Camps with a curriculum of skill development and game situational instruction, HSB Day Camps with one-on-one training with pros, HSB Draft Camps with an advanced pro-style combine and draft experience, and HSB Shooting Camps focused on shooting technique. HSBCAMPS provides a basketball experience to children of all ages, regardless of size, income, or ability, and offers optional Registration Insurance protection for $25 that allows a full cash refund, minus non-refundable fees, if stated cancellation conditions are met.

HSBCAMPS was officially founded in December 2008 and has operated under HSBCAMPS, LLC from 2009–2026, providing basketball camp and training experiences to more than 80,000 young student athletes in various locations throughout the United States. Its mission states that HSBCAMPS encourages every young athlete to fulfill his or her potential through mentoring, motivating, and building confidence both on and off the court. With support from large corporations, HSBCAMPS has contributed more than $1 million back to the communities it serves, including purchasing state-of-the-art shooting guns for local schools, providing scholarships, and making donations to youth programs and educational institutions in financial need.
