Zion-Concord Lutheran School Summer Camp is led by Principal Paul Feddersen and Pastor Rev. Steve Heuser. Zion-Concord’s stated purpose is to educate the whole child by cultivating spiritual, academic, emotional, physical, and social growth among all students, with a philosophy of Lutheran education rooted in the shared confession of Jesus Christ as taught in Holy Scripture. Zion-Concord School holds national accreditation through the National Lutheran School Association (NLSA) and is a state-recognized school through the Illinois State Board of Education. The school offers preschool through 8th-grade Christian education in a private school setting, smaller classroom settings, weekly Chapel and Hymn Sing, before and after school care, 1:1 Chromebooks and STEM programs, athletic programs and weekly clubs, daily hot lunch programs, choir, music and fine arts, multipurpose gyms and a playground, and a summer camp program. Zion Concord School admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin, and the summer camp is available both to current school students and to other families in the area without requiring school enrollment. Families that commit to the entire summer are prioritized over families that need just a few weeks.
