Mr. Dave Music offers live music for kids through children’s music classes, live shows, and private gigs. The program also provides birthday party entertainment, including birthday parties, birthday sets, and birthday celebrations with original and classic tunes, a personalized set list, song requests, bubbles, and a special happy birthday song. Families can choose in person or virtual classes, private lessons, and dance parties such as the Mr. Dave Baby Rave, a 75-minute kid-friendly dance party where DJ Matt ROAN plays beats while Mr. Dave performs original songs and leads the group in dance. Online reservations are required in advance.

Mr. Dave Music is owned and operated by Dave and Christina Hamilton, who bring more than 15 years of experience to this venture. The program launched with a mission to bring the joy of music into the lives of children, families, and adults by providing culturally responsive instruction and creating a warm and authentic educational experience. Music classes at Mr. Dave Music are known to get very young children singing, clapping, jumping, and dancing with a mix of original songs and children’s classics. The program offers children’s music classes, private lessons, dance parties, and birthday celebrations and states a commitment to innovative programming that fosters creativity and celebrates diversity in the power of music.
Mr. Dave Music’s stated strategy for future growth is to make a positive difference in the community by incorporating a scholarship program to provide access to educational benefits regardless of socioeconomic status. The team is also developing an internship program with a local higher education institution to give families access to a wide variety of educational experiences and plans to adjust its strategy based on community needs. According to Dave and Christina Hamilton, course offerings will be flexible and creative, starting with music classes and parties led by children’s artists in Chicago and expanding programs based on community needs.
