BTPD Summer Camp includes daily activities in sports, arts & crafts, games, and nature. Campers also go on field trips that include a Chicago Cubs baseball game, a zoo, children’s theme parks, and family entertainment centers.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: 10-week day camp from June through August, Monday through Friday, with hours from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Price: A $40 non-refundable registration fee per camper, a $15 late fee per child after the deadline, and a flat fee of $10 a week with either program
Daily activities and field trips are planned by caring and experienced staff. The leadership team includes Executive Director Michael O’Shea, Deputy Director Amanda Langlois, Director of Recreation & Marketing Cherie Smolkovich, Director of Parks & Facilities Joe Galloy, Director of Finance & Personnel Carter Rodman, Recreation Station Supervisor Matthew Wepprecht, and Exploration Station Supervisor Lindsey Patterson. Camp T-shirts are required to be worn for all field trips, and parents are notified of any changes in pick-up locations with the Group Me App. The mission of the Bourbonnais Township Park District is to enrich the quality of life through recreation, education and preservation, and it has developed a Comprehensive Master Plan with input from the local community, Board of Commissioners, and Park District staff to guide park, facility and program decisions for the next five years.
