Buffalo Grove Park District Summer Camp

Buffalo Grove Park District Summer Camps include sports, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, and other fun summertime activities. Camp Connection is a before- and after-camp program that is managed like camp and not just free play, and it is only for campers who are enrolled in Buffalo Grove Park District Camp programs and who will be entering Kindergarten through 8th grade next fall. Snack is provided in the afternoon Camp Connection session, and children with food allergies may bring their own snack each day.

• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Session 1 runs June 8 – July 2, Session 2 runs July 6 – July 31, and Post Summer Adventure for Kindergarten through 8th grade runs August 3 – 7; Camp Connection mornings begin as early as 7 am until the start of the camper’s individual camp, and Camp Connection afternoons run from the end of the camper’s individual camp until 6 pm.
• Price: Camp Connection 1st and 2nd Session fees are Monday–Thursday 7 am – start of camp $64 and end of camp – 6 pm $80; Friday 7 am – start of camp is $48 for 1st Session and $64 for 2nd Session, and end of camp – 6 pm is $60 for 1st Session and $80 for 2nd Session; additional days are $16 from 7 am – start of camp and $20 from end of camp – 6 pm for both sessions.

There is a 2-day minimum per week for Camp Connection, and Camp Connection requires a separate registration from camp. The Park District will do everything possible to keep Camp Connection locations at each camp site, but participants may be transported to another location depending on enrollment, and transportation from the participant’s camp site to the Camp Connection location will be provided in those cases. The Buffalo Grove Park District does not provide daily transportation to camp or home at the end of the day, and transportation to and from camp is the responsibility of each parent or guardian. If a pick-up permission form has not yet been completed, families are asked to bring a printed copy on the first day of camp.

The mission of the Buffalo Grove Park District is “Enriching life and community through premier parks, programs and facilities,” and its community involvement statement is to “Create and maintain effective partnerships.” Refund requests for Camp Connection received on or before one week prior to the first day of the first or second session are issued minus the nonrefundable $100 deposit and a $5 administrative fee, and refund requests after those dates are only issued when accompanied by a current doctor’s note. Refund requests for Post Summer Camp received on or before one week prior to the first day receive a full refund minus a $5 administrative fee, and requests after the first day receive a 50% refund.
