Summer Camp at Camp Kearney

Summer Camp at Camp Kearney offers a free week-long summer camp experience. The camp takes place on a property that includes woods, prairie, streams, and lakes.

Founded over 60 years ago, Camp Kearney began as a Christ-centered camping experience for children of South Side Mission. The mission of the camp’s parent ministry is to proclaim Jesus Christ, and in His name love neighbors and provide hope to the community through life-transforming ministries. The current Camp Kearney Director is Mark Nottle. Camp Kearney has expanded its ministry and now offers a free week-long summer camp experience to around 400 youth from the 61605 and rural Central Illinois each summer. The camp requests donations of toiletries, bug spray, sunscreen, bedding, board and card games, yard games, arts and crafts supplies, and sports equipment.
