• Ages: 5–18 years old

Founded in 1902, Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago is one of the oldest youth development organizations in Chicago and serves more than 15,000 young people ages 5 to 20+ every year. Its mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need the organization most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Club members are taught to be engaged citizens involved in the community and to model strong character. In accordance with Federal law and U.S. Department of Agriculture civil rights regulations and policies, the institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religious creed, disability, age, political beliefs, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity. The organization describes the Club experience as life-changing, life-saving, and life-long in its impact on young people’s skills, confidence, friendships, and roles as productive adults and role models.
