AYSO Chicago Lakefront - Region 418 Youth Soccer Programs offers youth soccer programs that include the Core Program and divisions such as 4U/5U, 6U, 7U to 14U, and 19U. The program also runs EPIC-Everyone Play In Our Community, a special needs program formerly called VIP, and involves VIP Buddies. Additional activities include AYSO EXTRA, AYSO Northwind SC, a Winter Indoor Soccer League, Winter Soccer Camps, Northwind & EXTRA Tryouts, a Youth Referee Program, and participation in the National Games.

The program’s stated mission is “Providing world class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives.” Region 418 has earned the AYSO Platinum Award several times, and Platinum Regions model AYSO’s philosophies and commitment to providing family friendly youth soccer experiences for players in their communities. AYSO is a volunteer-run organization, and many of AYSO’s higher level contributors, including Section 6 and National volunteer staff up to the National Board of Directors, started in Region 418. The region is involved with Chicago Public Schools to enhance youth sports programming through partnership with the American Youth Soccer Organization. EPIC-Everyone Play In Our Community is identified as a Special Needs Program, formerly VIP.

The leadership team includes Regional Commissioner Michael Goroff and Assistant Regional Commissioner Eamonn Byrne, along with roles such as Registrar (Stuart Barlow), Treasurer (Jeff Stern), Safety Director (John Slone), Regional Coach Administrator (Michele Gambera), and Regional Referee Administrator (Dan Magier). Division coordinators include Stuart Barlow for 4U/5U Playground & Schoolyard, Therese Morgan Dunai for 6U, Michael Huzinec for 7U Boys and 7U Girls, Scott Peterson for 8U Boys and 8U Girls, Jose Penarrubia for 10U, Lara Compton for 12U, Gene Kinsella for 14U, and Michael Goroff for High School (15U–19U). Additional leaders include Jonathan Weatherly for EPIC (Special Needs), Chris Chapman and Eric Moran as Northwind Co-Directors, Tom Roe as Northwind Director of Coaching, and various Northwind Board of Directors members: Alejandro Caffarelli, Maria Hill, Sarah Koleno, Maggie Nass, and Joey Carosella. Other listed roles include Eamonn Byrne as Northwind Representative, Northwind Treasurer, and AYSO Extra lead; Gene Kinsella for Corporate Sponsorship; Adam Cole for Development; Mike Foresman for Winter Indoor; and Kara Chmielewski for National Games, along with several open positions such as Child & Volunteer Protection Advocate, Fields & Equipment, Secretary, Webmaster, and Division Administration Coordinator.
