KEEN Chicago – Camp KEEN & Inclusive Recreation Programs offers a variety of activities, including Field Days, African Drumming Workshops, bowling, swim parties, trampoline sessions, a Navy Pier seek-and-find, a Seadog boat ride, a Bike Camp Overnight, kayaking, sailing, participation in the Disability Pride Parade, and the Runway Of Change Fashion Show. The program also includes KEEN Sports along with yoga, music, aquatics, art, dance, jiu jitsu, and additional trampoline programs. Camp KEEN runs during the summer months of June through August and includes both one-time events and ongoing activities.

KEEN Chicago is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and an affiliate of KEEN USA, a national nonprofit with additional affiliates in Greater Washington DC–Baltimore, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and St. Louis. KEEN’s mission is to empower youth with disabilities and impact volunteer coaches through participation in free, non-competitive, one-on-one programs of physical activity and fun, supporting the overall health and well-being of all participants. KEEN Chicago’s programs are entirely free of charge, non-competitive, one-on-one, and adapted to tailor to the needs of each athlete, and KEEN welcomes every child regardless of the nature or severity of disability. KEEN USA is a GuideStar Gold Participant.
Participants must be registered for the specific programs they attend, as no drop-ins are allowed and all programs have limited capacities. Camp KEEN – African Drumming Workshops are supported by The Theresa Foundation. Camp KEEN – Swim Party is supported by Chicago Yacht Club Foundation. Camp KEEN – Bike Camp Overnight is a collaboration with Out Our Front Door. Camp KEEN – Kayak is a collaboration with Chicago Adventure Therapy and is supported by The Theresa Foundation. Camp KEEN – Sail is a collaboration with Judd Goldman Adaptive Sailing Foundation and is supported by Chicago Yacht Club Foundation.
