Chicago City Soccer Club (CITY) was founded in 2013. Its mission statement is that Chicago City Soccer Club exists to create accessible, high-quality soccer opportunities that help young players across Chicago grow as athletes, teammates, and members of their community. Chicago City Soccer Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving families across Chicagoland. It is the first Illinois 5-Star Club based in the City of Chicago (2015), a 2025 Illinois Premier Club, and a recipient of the Chicago Reader's Best of Chicago 2023 polled award. The club describes a network of strategically located training hubs across the region, a multi-location model strengthened by regional, national, and international club partnerships, and a clear pathway from recreational soccer to local, regional, national, and international competition. The CITY Care model is described as prioritizing the well-being, growth, and support of every player and family, and the club notes a presence across multiple neighborhoods to make the game more accessible.

Chicago City Soccer Club states that it is one of the largest and most comprehensive soccer organizations in Chicagoland. It collaborates with local clubs to provide guest playing opportunities across teams, including Orland Park Sting FC, Lyons Township FC, Deportivo 59, Puebla, Shining Hammers FC, and Croatia Chicago. The club lists partnerships with Croatia Chicago FC in Glenview and Skokie, CITY Kankakee FC at 315 Sports Park in Bourbonnais, and Indiana United FC forming CITY INDIANA in Crown Point. CITY notes that it proudly serves players and families across Chicagoland and delivers soccer programming to communities throughout the region.

Parent and player testimonials describe experiences with the City Pathway, including progression from a second team in the U19 academy to appearances with the USL 2 team, and note work on details such as body position and scanning. Other testimonials mention knowledgeable and caring coaches, communication through weekly newsletters, extra events for kids, and virtual lessons such as Zoom practices and online skill and fitness activities. Several parents and alumni describe the club as focusing on player development, community, mental health, integrity, fun, and training that includes sports psychology, diet, and fitness.
