Hyde Park School of Dance offers year-round and summer dance training that includes ballet, modern, tap, AcroDance, studio hip hop, and pre-professional studio companies. Students can take classes such as First Steps, Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet levels, Ballet levels 1–6, Modern 1–3, Tap FUNdamentals and Tap 1/2, AcroDance 1 & 2, Studio Hip Hop 1, and participate in programs like the Summer Intensive, Little Dancer Summer Camp, Choreography Intensive, Pointe Foundations Workshop, Summer Company Performance Workshop, and the Studio Company Trainee Program. The program also offers adult classes including Adult Ballet Foundations and Progressions, Adult Silver Swans (Ballet 40+ yrs), Adult Modern Progressions, Adult Tap Progressions, Adult Studio Hip Hop Progressions, and an Adult Ballet Intensive.

• Schedule: Summer 2026 regular classes run in two 4-week sessions (Session 1: June 5–July 3; Session 2: July 6–August 1), and HPSD’s Summer Intensive runs July 6–31, 2026, Monday–Friday from 9:00am–5:00pm with weekly enrollment available.
• Price: Regular summer classes range from $75–$115 per 4-week session; adult classes range from $105–$110 per 4-week session; the four-week Summer Intensive is $2,400 or $650 per week; studio companies range from $435 per month to $635 per month or $1,950–$2,850 in bi-annual installments.
Hyde Park School of Dance is a 501(c)3 non-profit that has been serving Chicago’s South Side since 1993 and offers more than 60 classes in a range of dance styles for all ages and levels. The organization states that it welcomes dancers of any race, religion, body type, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and family income, and it presents a year-long calendar of public performances around the city, including 2–3 school-wide public performances each year. Hyde Park School of Dance has pre-professional studio companies, and auditions for these companies are held in May for rising 6th–12th graders and dancers from other schools aged 14–18 who meet training requirements.
