Junior Chefs Kitchen

Junior Chefs Kitchen offers hands-on cooking classes where kids prepare real cooking and kid-friendly recipes, explore global flavors and cultures, and take part in crafting and moving their bodies. The program includes nutrition education and seasonal pop-up events such as a Dia de los Muertos taco bar where kids make and decorate sugar skulls. Junior Chefs Kitchen also offers birthday parties, after-school programs, Day Off Camps, and date night/parents night out events.

• Schedule: Camps feature an action packed 6 hour day spent cooking, infused with nutrition education, crafting, making friends, moving our bodies, and building community.

The curriculum at Junior Chefs Kitchen is developed and approved by a Registered Dietitian and focuses on nourishment and educating youth on the nutritional benefits of whole foods. The program’s mission is to increase access to essential food and nutrition information by empowering youth with cooking skills and healthy eating resources that are good for people, the planet, and the community. Junior Chefs Kitchen incorporates a Give Back philosophy into everyday practice and partners with local schools for broad socioeconomic reach.

Junior Chefs Kitchen emphasizes environmentally-sound sustainability, including sourcing local ingredients and promoting sustainable kitchen practices like composting, recycling, and using reusable materials. Unique features include a digital cookbook with 35 kid-approved recipes, a digital recipe repository, and semester classes that offer weekly 1-hour sessions with free make-up classes and flexible schedules for active members. Semester registrants receive a free monthly date night, first access to exclusive pop-up events and camp announcements, no upfront membership costs (including booking and credit card processing fees), and the option to cancel anytime by email.
