About
Kids STEM Studio Camps offers hands-on technology and engineering activities that include robotics, coding, game design, Minecraft, experimental design, computer coding, engineering building projects, and working with Legos. Each day of camp includes half a day of technology and half a day of engineering, along with outdoor recess. Campers work on new projects and themes every week, and they take home their engineering models and present their technology projects to parents on Fridays from 3:30 to 4:00 pm.
• Ages: 6–12 years old
• Schedule: Full-day weekly camps, typically 8:45 am to 3:45 pm, with optional early care and extended care at some sites

Kids STEM Studio Camps focuses on hands-on, project-based activities that involve solving real-world problems through out-of-the-box thinking and developing skills for a technologically advanced world. Programs at Kids STEM Studio include weekly classes, after-school enrichment programs, day-off camps, week-long camps, and STEM-centric birthday parties, and kids ages 4 to 14 participate in these programs. Parents are asked to provide a nut-free lunch and snacks.
Kids STEM Studio was described as the “champion of the CPS Teachers' Strike 2019,” offering new coding activities in the morning and engineering building projects in the afternoon during the strike. One parent reported that a child enjoyed the camp so much that they wanted it to be their primary camp the following summer and planned to return for winter and spring break camps. Another parent shared that their 6-year-old looks forward to building with Legos and coding at Kids STEM Studio and credited the program with making education fun.
