Lumity STEM Programs include activities such as STEMTalks, STEM Talks, career site visits, tutoring, one-day challenges, STEMWorks, the STEMWorks Training Program, and STEM Career Prep. STEM Career Prep is a four-year program, and STEMWorks includes a two-year training program that started in 2013.

• Schedule: Chicago Lumity Office hours are 9:00 am–5:00 pm Monday–Friday, and Lumity STEMWorks Training Center hours are 9:00 am–4:00 pm Monday–Thursday
Lumity is a STEM nonprofit dedicated to shaping the future of STEM education and expanding career pathways for Chicagoland youth. Lumity provides teens and young adults with transformational experiences to prepare them for lifelong STEM careers. Lumity has a history of 40 years of making a difference and has previously been a community technology service and a nonprofit finance organization. In the two-year training program that started in 2013, 323 students were employed after the program. In the 2019–2020 STEMWorks program, 70% of students were placed in a STEM-related job, and 88% of students achieved positive outcomes including increased awareness of STEM careers and pathways for career success. In STEM Career Prep, 75% of students agree with the statement “I see myself having a career in STEM.” Lumity connects Chicago students with businesses and works with school, corporate, and community partners, including partners such as Creospan, and corporate partners or individual donors can contribute. An Annual Benefit is held in March. One testimonial notes that a corporate partner values being able to donate employee time with Lumity and describes the experience as energizing for employees.
