About
Sports for Kids offers adaptive sports and recreation programs that include adaptive sailing, archery, cycling, judo, Saido Karate, swimming, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair softball, summer sports camps, sports clinics, and special events for kids. The program includes both individual and team sports for children with a diagnosed primary loss or impairment of physical function. Children of all skill levels are welcome in every program, from beginners to competitive participants.

• Price: Sports for Kids programs are free of charge.
Sports for Kids focuses activities on fitness, independence, friendship and fun. Programs are hosted at multiple locations throughout Chicagoland, and participants who live in Chicago are eligible for door-to-door transportation. To participate in adaptive sports, participants must fill out an intake form.
Teams practice weekly and travel to out-of-town competitions under the guidance of trained and educated coaching staff. Clinics and special events support skill-building, fitness and community for kids ages 6–21. Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, in partnership with the Chicago Park District, offers the only youth wheelchair basketball and wheelchair softball programs in the city.
