About

Saint Ignatius Athletic Camps offers Boys Baseball, Boys Basketball, Boys Lacrosse, and Boys Soccer camps that include differentiated skills training and scrimmage experience led by current Ignatius coaches. Camp activities focus on fundamentals of baseball; passing, shooting, and defense in basketball; fundamental skills and team play in lacrosse; and motor skills development, ball control, passing, possession, shooting, and advanced goalkeeper training in soccer. Camps include individual and group instruction, with Wolfpack varsity players assisting so campers play alongside high school athletes.

• Ages: 10–18 years old
• Schedule: Most listed camps run Monday through Thursday over a single week, with options in June and July for grades 5–12.

Boys Baseball Camp is directed by head baseball coach Joel Southern and assisted by staff and members of the Wolfpack Varsity Baseball Team. Boys Basketball Camp is led by head coach Matt Monroe, who has extensive experience running youth skill development clinics, with a staff of Saint Ignatius coaches and varsity players and at least one coach and two players on the court at all times. Boys Lacrosse Camp is run by the Saint Ignatius College Prep coaching staff, described as experienced high school coaches, and takes all levels of play with no experience necessary, with a focus on learning, improvement, and enjoyment. Boys Soccer Camp is conducted by Head Varsity Coach Matt Miller and his coaching staff, and head coach Seth Molek is listed in the leadership team.

Saint Ignatius College Prep, founded in 1869, is a Jesuit Catholic school described as a diverse community dedicated to educating young men and women for lives of faith, love, service and leadership. It is Chicago’s first Jesuit school and a member of a network of 430 Jesuit high schools in 55 nations around the globe. Wolfpack players assist in the camps so students have the opportunity to play alongside role model high school athletes.

For equipment, Boys Baseball Camp requires players to bring their own bat, glove, sunscreen, and water bottle. Boys Lacrosse Camp asks campers to come with full lacrosse equipment, including gloves, elbow pads, chest protector, helmet, cleats or turf shoes, and a lacrosse stick, and notes that campers who want help gathering gear can contact head coach Seth Molek at [email protected].
