About
Crete Creative Gallery & School features solo showcases and group exhibits and teaches classes for all ages. The program hosts Opening Receptions, Artist Talks, Art Markets, and an end-of-the-year celebration called The Community Showcase that brings together dozens of artists from the region. Its main exhibiting space is located within the Crete Public Library in the Crete Creative main exhibition space on the second floor.

• Schedule: Library open hours Monday–Thursday 9:30 AM–8:00 PM; Friday and Saturday 9:30 AM–5:00 PM
Crete Creative Gallery & School was established in 2017 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Its mission states that it is dedicated to arts accessibility and education in Crete, IL and beyond, and that it aims to foster a welcoming exhibition and education environment across the community, based on the belief that culture and the arts should be accessible to everyone. With the help of artists and volunteers, the organization produces solo showcases and group exhibits, teaches classes for all ages, and provides a platform for local artists. Board members and volunteers can be found at local events, and special events throughout the community are posted on their Event Page and on Facebook @cretecreative. The organization hosts six unique exhibits each year, and previous locations included the Crete Old Town Mall and the Victorian Arbor House.
