Wauconda Baseball Softball offers baseball programs for boys and girls and softball programs for boys and girls. The program provides a youth baseball experience and a youth softball experience for children who want to play these sports.
• Ages: 5–16 years old
Since 1955, Wauconda Baseball Softball, also known as Lakes Youth Athletic Association (LYAA), has been serving the Wauconda, Island Lake, Volo, Port Barrington, and Lakemoor communities with baseball and softball programs for boys and girls. Children from ages 5 to 16 have taken part in the thrill of the game, a sense of accomplishment, and the joy of a team experience for over 60 years. Lakes Youth Athletic Association d/b/a Wauconda Baseball Softball is an IRS-recognized 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. The program states that it has continued to change to meet the needs of the community and strives to bring the best youth baseball and softball experience to the children of the community.
