About

Kishwaukee Special Recreation Association Youth Programs (5-18) include activities such as swimming, nature activities, sports activities, social and peer activities, sensory experiences, arts and crafts, sports, games, and crafts. KSRA youth programs are designed to assist participants in increasing their imagination, creativity, and socialization while fostering an environment of fun and friendship. Staff lead activities focused on leisure and recreation as well as the development of social and daily living skills.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Price: The cost for a family of 4 is $25 and includes 2 games, shoes, pizza and a pitcher of pop.

Camp Maple Leaf is a summer camp offered through Kishwaukee Special Recreation Association that has served the DeKalb County and area communities since 1977. Camp Maple Leaf provides children of all abilities, aged 5–18 years old, a summer experience that includes age-specific and age-appropriate group activities and whole-camp activities. Participants are grouped by age. Kishwaukee Special Recreation Association states that it enriches the lives of people with disabilities through goal-driven, diverse recreational opportunities. KSRA also states that it is proud to serve veterans by bringing them recreational events in a safe environment surrounded by people who understand.
