Ballet Folklorico Sones Mexicanos

Ballet Folklorico Sones Mexicanos offers folklorico dance classes for children and youth ages 5 to 19. The program includes Folklorico Level 1 - Youth Class for beginners with none or minimal dance experience, Folklorico Level 2 - Youth 7-11 for kids and youth with some dance experience, Folklorico - Level 2 Young Adults for ages 12 to 17 with some experience, Folklorico Advanced Adults - Company Performing Group for ages 16 and over with greater than 3 years' experience, and Folklorico - Adults Level 1 for beginner ages 18 and over.

• Folklorico Level 2 - Youth 7-11 — Ages 8 and over; kids and youth with some dance experience · Tue / Thu 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm · $100 per month · Folklorico performance and choreography; perfect class for kids and youth with some dance experience.
• Folklorico - Level 2 Young Adults — Ages 12 - 17; with some experience · Tues / Thurs 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm · $100 per month · Repertoire and choreography.
• Folklorico Advanced Adults - Company Performing Group — Ages 16 and over; BFSM dancers or new dancers with greater than 3 years' experience · Thurs / Friday 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm · $100 per month · Advanced repertoire and performance group.
• Folklorico - Adults Level 1 — Beginner ages 18 and over · Mon / Wed 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm · $100 per month · Perfect class for all adults.

About the provider

Ballet Folklorico Sones Mexicanos was founded in late 2010. It is led by Founder and Director Claudia Alejandra Gutierrez, and classes are offered by three teachers with greater than 25 years of experience combined. The program says it was created to be a safe, motivating, and instructional space for the community to learn and continue Mexican folklore traditions through dance. It also created a Performing Company to promote Mexican Heritage and is a year-round performing group that has performed in Lloret de Mar, Spain, Disney Performing Arts in Florida and Orlando, and has upcoming performances in Italy and Mexico.
