West Suburban Special Recreation Association, 2915 Maple Street, Franklin Park, IL 60131
About
WSSRA Summer Day Camp includes arts and crafts, music and movement, games, nature exploration, STEAM projects, swimming, and field trips. The camp runs in two sessions between early June and late July on weekdays and sends home a visual schedule each Friday that lists the next week’s pool days, field trips, and special activities.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: June 8–July 24, Monday–Friday, with Session 1 running 4 weeks (June 8–July 2) and Session 2 running 3 weeks (July 6–July 24); no camp on June 19 or July 3
Camps are broken down into smaller age groups based on registration. Registration opens February 9, 2026. After registration is processed, the WSSRA office sends a mailing that explains where the camper is placed for the summer and includes a list of items to bring each day. Anyone with a documented diagnosis of disability who is 3 to 21 years old on the first day of camp and lives within the listed village and park district boundaries is eligible.
