S&R Dance Studio Competitive Company Audition Class is a six week long class where dancers take part in a Competitive Company Audition Class. During this class, dancers learn combinations, practice them, and perform them in front of their instructors. The program also connects to company auditions for the 2026–2027 Competition Season, which include auditions for different age groups.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Six week long audition class on Monday nights, with additional company auditions held on set dates for the 2026–2027 season

The audition class meets Monday nights from June 8th to July 15th from 6–7pm. Company auditions for the 2026–2027 Competition Season are scheduled on 5/28 for 7th grade and younger and on 5/29 for 8th grade and older, both from 4–8pm, and no registration is necessary for these company auditions, as dancers can just show up. The program is described as a Mini Apprentice Program used as a substitute for a regular audition and as an option when regular auditions can feel intimidating to younger dancers. For 41 years, S&R Dance has brought forth an exceptional dance education to students in Freeport, IL. The studio states that it strives to provide a positive, safe, and welcoming space for dancers ages 2+ to express themselves through the art of dance.
