About

Camp Kidz offers arts and crafts, swimming, games, and sports, along with field trips to Camp Big Sky, Discovery Depot, the Knox County Fair, and local parks. Each activity is designed with the campers' needs in mind by staff who are trained in the field.

Camp Kidz is a fun and exciting summer day camp available to Knox, Warren, and Henderson County area children ages 5–21. Camp Kidz is managed by Triumph Services, which is a collaboration between Thrive Community Services, Bridgeway, and Warren Achievement Center, and is governed by Triumph Services, Inc., comprised of these three agencies. Camp Kidz is a 501(c)3 organization and relies upon the support of the community and friends. Thrive Community Services operates programs and services without regard to race, color, or national origin in accordance with Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Camp Kidz has been in operation since 2000. In December of 1956, a group of sixteen dedicated parents came together with a steadfast belief in establishing a school for their children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Camp Kidz' mission is to promote and nurture the physical, emotional, and intellectual needs of persons with disabilities, with the mission statement, “Empowering Individuals to live their best lives.” Staff are trained annually in First Aid, CPR, Fire Safety, plus additional orientation.
