About
North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center offers rhythmic gymnastics, including recreational rhythmic gymnastics, competitive rhythmic gymnastics, and elite national rhythmic gymnastics. The program includes athletes who train in rhythmic gymnastics at different levels, from beginning gymnasts to USA Olympic Team athletes and USA National Team athletes. The U.S. Senior National Group trains at North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center.

Sachs Recreation Center has been the official training facility for North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center for the past 12 years. North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center is home to about 150–170 gymnasts, including beginning gymnasts as young as 4 years old, USA Olympic Team athletes, and USA National Team athletes. The partnership between Deerfield Park District’s Sachs Recreation Center and North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center received the Illinois Association of Park Districts’ Best of the Best Partnership Award. Nine athletes from North Shore Rhythmics are members of the USA Tokyo Olympic Team.
NSR coaches and staff state that they are dedicated to encouraging participation in rhythmic gymnastics at both recreational and competitive levels, supporting athletes in their gymnastic pursuits from reaching personal potential to achieving competitive excellence while fostering confidence and well-being, generating and promoting public awareness of rhythmic gymnastics to grow the sport’s popularity in the United States, and promoting excellence and integrity in all aspects of the organization.
