Granite City High School Summer Camps offers sport-specific camps in baseball, boys basketball, girls basketball, football, girls volleyball, and softball. Each camp focuses on instruction in that sport and is scheduled on specific dates and times during May, June, and July.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Camps run on specific dates from May 27 through July 31, with sessions ranging from morning to afternoon and evening time slots.
• Price: Baseball $30; Boys Basketball $40; Girls Basketball $30; Football $30; Girls Volleyball $30; Softball $25.
The baseball camp runs July 14–16, with a K–4th grade session from 9–10:15 a.m. and a 5th–9th grade session from 10:30–11:45 a.m. The boys basketball camp runs May 27–29 for students entering 3rd–10th grade from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. The girls basketball camp runs June 23–26 for students entering 5th–12th grade from 1–3 p.m. The football camp runs July 11–12 for ages 8 to 14 years old, meeting 6–8 p.m. on July 11 and 9–11 a.m. on July 12. The girls volleyball camp runs July 29–31, with 9th–12th grade from 4–6 p.m. and 5th–8th grade from 6–7:30 p.m. The softball camp runs July 21–23 for students entering 5th–8th grade from 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
Camps are directed by the Granite City High School coaching staff along with current players from the Warrior teams. Leadership includes Baseball Head Coach Scott Smallie, Boys Basketball Head Coach Gerard Moore, Girls Basketball Head Coach Ron Twichell, Football Head Coach Steve Roustio, Girls Volleyball Head Coach Grace Hurst, and Softball Head Coach Tim Wilson. GCHS Camps are designed to instruct athletes on fundamental skills involved in their sport in a fun and enthusiastic atmosphere. Athletes are divided by grade level and skill level to receive individual instruction.
The baseball camp fee includes a t-shirt. The boys basketball camp fee includes a t-shirt and lunch. The girls basketball camp fee includes a t-shirt. The football camp fee includes a t-shirt and lunch. The girls volleyball camp fee includes a t-shirt.
