About
Fun-N-Sun Day Camp includes active games, crazy skits, swimming, outdoor adventures, and large group competitions. Campers take part in science experiments, step into different time periods in history, and work on life skill development. Activities also include a daily large group opening, Bible Time, gym games, outdoor games, sports, art, drama, baking, crafts, building, dancing, and chances to explore, hike, and fish at local parks.
• Ages: 4–12 years old
• Schedule: Campers swim and play at the Grayslake Aquatic Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays; dates run from June 2 to August 1.

The mission of Fun-N-Sun Day Camp states that the camp is passionate about creating contagious fun through active games, crazy skits, swimming, and outdoor adventures, and is dedicated to helping campers grow in their relationships with others and with God while challenging their intellectual brains through science experiments, history, and life skill development. The leadership team includes Director Diane Henke and her partner in running the camp, Dale Henke. Diane Henke holds a Masters of Education from the University of Minnesota, a Bachelor of Science in Family Social Science and Youth Studies, is a Certified Parent Educator, and is a Trauma Competent Affiliate Trainer with Trauma Free World. Lulu, a dog at camp, is a certified therapy dog who shares time with campers. An online application for summer staff is to be filled out before April 1st.
