• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: Week-long camps from Monday to Friday with half-day AM and PM options
• Price: The weekly tuition for half-day camps is $250. Register for both AM and PM camps for a full day and bring a lunch, with discount pricing of $225 per camp. Early Drop Off from 8:00 am to 9:00 am is $60 per week, and Late Pick Up from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm is $60 per week.
According to the program’s mission statement, Code Ninjas Camps aim to transform a child’s love for technology into a learning adventure, guided by a team referred to as Code Senseis. The mission statement also says that the camps empower kids to gain valuable tech skills and make new friends, and describe the experience as unforgettably fun.
Code Ninjas Camps use themes like Robotics, Roblox, Minecraft, and YouTube, along with a curriculum developed with creation in mind to allow students to express their imagination and experiment with new ideas. The program states that camps help teach life skills such as leadership, creativity, problematic and computational thinking, and use an Outcome-Based Learning approach that focuses on clear learning goals and matching activities and assessments. A proprietary learning platform called IMPACT is described as being designed to give Ninjas a strong learning environment and to help develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and logical reasoning skills, with tailored learning tracks through Belts and live feedback on progress.
The Code Ninjas Prodigy Program offers participants the chance to interact with leaders from large technology and gaming companies, visit headquarters, and explore career paths that coding can lead to. In one example, winning Ninjas visited Microsoft’s headquarters in Seattle, including Microsoft’s Garage, and met with teams such as the Microsoft Minecraft team, Microsoft MakeCode team, XBOX, Bing, and AI.
Code Ninjas is described as the world’s largest and fastest-growing kids’ coding franchise, with hundreds of locations in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The organization states that it strives to have a positive relationship with the community by providing a safe and welcoming learning environment for kids outside of school and by encouraging students to use their coding skills to create apps or websites to solve local problems.
Parents have shared testimonials saying their children enjoy Code Ninjas, are excited to show what they made, and leave with a smile. Other testimonials mention kids coding their first game within minutes, enjoying friendly teachers, and growing in their interest in coding, as well as comments about positive impact on problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
