About

Homewood Science Center STEM Programs include STEM Saturdays, Summer Camps, STEM field trips, and explore play activities. The program also offers Family Fridays, Sensory-Friendly Hours, a Girls STEAM Celebration, and a Conservation Ecology Internship for middle school students that uses a project-based internship to teach young people how to reserve natural resources. These programs include engaging out-of-school STEM experiences for children and weekly programs and activities for families of young children, along with an event for 6th–8th grade students to explore STEAM careers and have fun.

The mission of Homewood Science Center STEM Programs is to inspire scientific wonder, learning, and pursuit. The program is involved in the Chicago Southland STEM Network, which is a platform for diverse stakeholders to convene about STEM education and workforce development.
