The volunteer camp staff includes medical professionals, fire service personnel, experienced counselors, and former campers. Camp I Am Me provides a wide variety of free programs throughout the year for children, adults, and families that have been affected by burn-related injuries, providing them the physical, psychological, and emotional support described in its mission statement. Camp I Am Me by Illinois Fire Safety Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Camp I Am Me, along with hundreds of volunteers and supporters from the fire service, health care sector, private industry, and general public, work together to deliver assistance, strength, and happiness to many children, adults, and families that are a part of the burn survivor community, and develops and distributes no-cost fire safety and burn prevention materials throughout the state to community partners such as fire departments, hospitals, and schools. The leadership team includes Leslie Metcalf, Program Coordinator; Jenny Tzortzos, Community Outreach Coordinator; and Philip Zaleski, Executive Director.
